Aviation.

After learning quite a bit recently about how planes work, it just astounds me.

What a fantastic achievement, for people to have built machines that can travel safely going 600 mph at 30,000-40,000 altitude.

So don’t even get me started about space travel–!

What amazes me is the human brain. It is amazing how the brain can process and comprehend, and think creatively. It controls our physical movement, speech, etc.

I can understand why Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz desired to have a brain. :)

It’s the simple things like how warm sunshine can make you feel better or when your children say something that only a child can get away with and yet it’s still cute and makes you laugh.

But I also wonder how the sun comes up everyday when it never goes down; or how people are generally nice — I still haven’t figured that one out.

And, Olynn, I’ll give you another one to think about: try floating in the open seas on a cruise ship the size of a small city into International waters. All I could think about was the Titanic. I didn’t sleep much the first night.

My son amazes me every day when I think about how far he has come in such a short amount of time. When I see newborn babies I can’t believe he was like that just a short time ago.

The internet. I mean, where IS it? Doesn’t it have to have a location? Is it in the sky? Cyberspace is such an abstract term, what does it really mean anyway? I know that there is probably some braniac out there that thinks he can sufficiently answer this question, but people have tried to explain it before, and the question of location remains unresolved in my mind. It’s amazing really, if you think about it.
