I walk & public transport (ferry, bus & train) everywhere.
I own a car. I like driving. But for the last two years, I've made a health and environmental decision to mothball my car. I'm only going thru the rigmarole of registering my car next month so I can take it with me when I move across the country in 3 weeks.

I work from home, so I traveled by foot to the living room. But for my errands I hop into my '98 subaru outback which has great mileage no matter what rode I'm traveling on.
I'll probably go the regular speed 50 in a 45mph zone.

I drove to work in my Subaru Tribeca. OK, you have limited options when you need to purchasea vehicle with 4-wheel drive because you live in a state that gets 3 feet of snow in a single night.

Luckily I take back roads for my 8 mile commute to work.

Well since I work from home, my commute is on foot and only about 30 feet down the hall (sorry olynnduncan but my commute is closer than yours).

However, I am leaving for lunch in my brother's BMW 330i, Blue/Gray with Black leather interior, 6-speed, with iPod adapter.

See pic:

I'll be traveling at about 40 mph down the hill; I don't need a ticket. ;-)

Wendy's is about 5 miles from here so my total distance in the car will be about 10 miles.

1997 Toyota Corolla. It's a ten minute commute to downtown on a good day (40MPH on the neighborhood streets and a couple miles on I-75 at 65-70), and my after work plans don't take me far from home. Still, I really want to get a Prius.

1999 Toyota Corolla. It takes me an hour each way to drive the 25 miles between work and home. Ugh.
