By a honey bee: Once when I was a kid. I was running through the yard (with lots of clover) and stepped on a bee. I remember it was painful enough that I wore shoes for a while when outside.
By sweat bees: Hundreds of times. Sweat bees always seem to swarm in “bendy” places (like my elbow) when I’m working hard. Once I bend my arm, the sweat bee is trapped and stings me in return. These stings usually inch and leave a small welt.
Not as far as I know, although growing up in southern California, there was much ado about nothing regarding African Killer Bees.

Yes….I cried a lot. I think I was four. We were horseback riding. My mom put mud on it to help with the sting.
